Nice job on picking the president's new home before it was announced! To President and Mrs. Bush, thank you for keeping us safe for the last eight years and good luck on your retirement! I truly believe that history will eventually judge you as an excellent president.

I am very pleased President and Mrs. Bush chose to come "home" to Texas, and I am assured that the residents and surrounding community in the Mayflower Estates will respect their privacy and safety. The Bush family deserves relief from the immature media and the uninformed. DeeVee

10141 Daria Place in Mayflower Estates of Preston Hollow, in case you the reader have been in a cave for the last 2 weeks, is indeed the new Dallas residence for W and Laura. Being tucked into the northwest corner perimeter of Tom Hicks estate, I wonder if Tom will allow an easement in his property line so W can get his daily 3 miles in on Hicks 25 acres without having to leave Daria proper? The only question remaining is whether the street security gate will go up at the intersection of Daria Place and Daria Drive or at Daria Drive and Meaders Lane. If the latter, the eight or so homes on Daria Drive will benefit greatly from significantly increased property values by living in a de facto gated community.

I truly wish for President & Mrs. Bush a wonderful life in their new home... they certainly deserve it after the fishbowl life in Washington & as TX Governor. Thanks to George W Bush for keeping America Safe for 7 years. May they have only sunny happy days ahead. May God Bless them.

I am impressed you identified the new Bush house before media realized it had been purchased. Great insight!

Douglas,

I think your analysis is correct about Preston Hollow, although I've thought Bluffview would also fit their needs nicely.

When I lived in Midland in the 1980's I was familiar with the Bush home and it was very unpretentious. What people fail to understand about these people is that they don't like to make a big splash. They want to live comfortably and with adequate space, but making a big impression is not what is important to them.

I'm glad to see you still have 5569 Nakoma Drive listed on your website.

Nancy and I still owe you a dinner at our new place.
